Seaming material is quickly becoming a standard practice and is primarily used when the width required for an application exceeds the availability of stock rolls. In addition, seaming material is a great economic alternative, rather then committing to a weaver for specialty material.
Stove Pipe Seaming is primarily used for finer meshes and openings. The wire cloth is hemmed in opposite directions, locked together and flattened. It is then spot welded for added strength in tensioning environments.
Overlap Seaming is primarily used for coarser meshes and openings. The wire cloth is overlapped according to your specifications and spot welded.
Urethane or Bond Seaming is primarily used in non-tensioning environments. It is used in sanitary and general purpose applications as well as belting.
