American Wire Cloth Institute Announces Spring Meeting

Meeting Highlights: Economic Insights, Cybersecurity Lessons, and Exclusive Supplier Presentation

The American Wire Cloth Institute (AWCI), the leading association representing the North American wire cloth industry, will host its Spring Meeting from Wednesday, April 30 through Friday, May 1, 2026, at the Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The event will feature a series of high-level discussions and presentations designed to help members navigate today’s economic landscape, strengthen operational resilience, and explore new advances in wire cloth manufacturing technology.

Among the meeting’s highlights, Kevin Depew, Deputy Chief Economist at RSM, will deliver an in-depth presentation on current economic conditions and forward-looking insights shaping the industrial and manufacturing sectors. His session will provide members with valuable perspective on key market drivers influencing the wire cloth industry in 2026 and beyond.

Tristan Boucher, Chief Information Officer, North America, at HAVER & BOECKER’s Wire Weaving Division, will share “Lessons Learned from a Cyberattack,” a firsthand account of responding to and recovering from a major cyber incident. As digital infrastructure becomes increasingly vital to manufacturing operations, his session will offer critical guidance for companies looking to enhance cybersecurity readiness across interconnected production and supply chain systems.

An exclusive supplier presentation from Schlatter Group will showcase the new Jäger C-TEC weaving machine, engineered for heavy technical fabrics. Presenters Mark Hall and Andreas Kimmer will provide technical insights into the innovation behind the new system and the efficiency gains it represents for advanced weaving operations.

In addition to these featured sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a “Pass the Knowledge” forum. This forum will be a collaborative exchange focused on sharing technical expertise, production experiences, and emerging best practices within the wire cloth community. Designed as an open-format discussion, this session reinforces AWCI’s mission to foster continuous improvement through member-driven knowledge sharing.

Compass Wire Cloth will also participate in the Spring Meeting, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to collaboration and innovation within the wire cloth industry. The company values the opportunity to connect with fellow AWCI members, exchange technical knowledge, and stay engaged with the latest developments shaping wire cloth manufacturing and screening solutions.
