These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) outline the warranty coverage provided by Compass Wire Cloth Corporation (we) for products sold to customers (“you” or “your”). Please read this Agreement carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined herein.
1. Warranty Coverage:
1.1 We provide a warranty against manufacturing defects (“Defects”) for a period of 90 days from the date of the invoice (“Warranty Period”).
1.2 This warranty covers only Defects resulting from faulty workmanship or materials used in the manufacturing process.
1.3 The warranty is applicable for products purchased directly from us or authorized resellers.
2. Warranty Limitations:
2.1 This warranty does not cover defects caused by:
- Misuse, mishandling, or improper installation of the product.
- Non-compliance with the product’s instructions or guidelines.
- Accidental damage, negligence, or any external causes.
- Modification, repair, or tampering by unauthorized personnel.
- Normal wear and tear.
3. Warranty Claim Process:
3.1 To initiate a warranty claim, you must:
- Contact our customer service department within the Warranty Period.
- Provide proof of purchase, such as the invoice or order number.
- Describe the Defect in detail, including supporting documentation and images if applicable.
3.2 We reserve the right to assess and verify the Defect before approving a warranty claim.
3.3 If the Defect is determined to be covered under warranty, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the product.
- Replace the product.
- Refund the original purchase price.
4. Warranty Exclusions and Limitations:
4.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy provided by us. We disclaim all other warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
4.2 We shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damage arising from the use or inability to use the product, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.
4.3 Our total liability under this warranty shall be limited to the original purchase price of the product.
4.4 This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
5.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Cumberland County, New Jersey.
5.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cumberland County, New Jersey.

6. Severability:
6.1 If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. Please retain a copy of this Agreement for your reference. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the warranty or this Agreement, please contact our customer service department.
7. Receiving Material
7.1 It is the responsibility of the receiver to thoroughly inspect for any damage. Compass Wire cannot be held liable for damaged shipments that are not signed for as damaged.
7.2 Damaged shipments must be communicated to Compass Wire within 3 business days of the incident to process a claim. Only claims that have been properly signed as damaged will be pursued.
7.3 Photo evidence of the damage arriving material is required.
7.4 Customer may be required to hold damaged material for a time frame as required by freight company to perform an investigation.
